Do you really want my answer?

Really?

OK...

$500. Admittedly I don’t know the market there, but if I bought that I’d expect to have to stick another short block in. I mean, I believe you that it never overheated, but if you were some rando on Craigslist ....

If that’s what it is, then that’s what it is. Or a used LKQ engine. Which is what I would’ve done. Rando...

“Any reasonable offer will be considered.”

How can you tell if an offer is reasonable or not unless you have already considered it? Although, I suppose if I turn the pedant up to 11 you didn’t say that you wouldn’t consider an unreasonable offer.

Also, you’re already in it for the tires + transmission, that’s gotta be like 3k. Just get the engine rebuilt, GO ALL IN!

I like pedant. It just means, think before you offer . Tags don’t run out until December. The cheapest route would be to replace the head gaskets myself and I definitely possess the necessary skills, and probably most of the necessary tools, to do it myself, so that’s what I will probably do. Salvage value of the car is $112 and change. Seriously.
